Happy Monday, trendsetters! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! It flew by, don't you think? I'm ready for a new week, a fresh start and a heaping helping of motivation!

A couple weeks ago I entered into an Instagram contest with Maude Boutique where I had to "share to win" a photo of a cute top and beanie they were giving away. Low and behold, a couple days later I figured out I won! I never win anything, so I was super excited!

Even though they're based out of Arkansas, Maude Boutique definitely has fashion any girl, from any city, would love to hang in their closet. I first heard about them from Leslie via A Blonde Ambition when I worked as her intern, and then I started seeing their clothing on countless blogs I follow. They are trendy, funky, and perfect for women of all ages. The top they sent me is just too adorable, and the beanie (which you saw two posts back) is a go-to accessory.

So while sometimes I complain that "OMG I have nothing (absolutely nothing) to wear"... which is never true... today was not one of those days! I had my adorable Maude Boutique top, and I loved styling it.

Top, Maude Boutique. Tribal Denim, Urban Outfitters. Sweater, Victoria's Secret. Sneakers, Old Navy. Bag, Kate Spade. Glasses, Madewell.

I Had Nothing To Wear.

These last few days have been a little crazy. Last Thursday I took a spur of the moment trip to Greenville to visit my boyfriend! He hasn't been able to come home yet with everything that's going on, so when I heard that my neighbor was making the trek down to ECU in the snow, I decided to go along with her to save money on gas and see the love of my life!
It was a low key weekend. All we did was relax, watch movies, cook comfort food, eat way too much,  sip on coffee, play in the snow, hug on Cubbie and hug on each other. I missed him so much! While I was there we started watching the Netflix series House of Cards and instantly got hooked! This show is seriously amazing. You need to check it out! It's intense, sarcastic, and a crazy unique perspective on politics. We already have less than half left before we get through the whole first season.

Monday night I got home from Greenville, ate dinner, caught up with my parents, and then went straight to sleep. Tuesday I had a big interview with a company I've been in contact with for a couple weeks now, located about 2 hours outside of Charlotte. I went to my interview, which was way shorter than I imagined, and then changed into comfortable clothes and treated myself to a delicious lunch for one in the middle of downtown.
The whole interview/meet-and-greet experience didn't go as I expected it to, but it was definitely an adventure that made me stronger! If you wanna hear God laugh, tell him your plan, right? That's my favorite quote these days! This one is pretty legit, too...
Sorry for the lack of posts this week! I've been busy, as you can see. What have you been up to lately?

Today was so cold I couldn't think of wearing anything other than a sweatshirt. The temperature is dropping at warp speed and a little southern snow is on it's way! Tonight we're supposed to get 3-6 inches. Do you wanna know what that means here in good ol' Charlotte, NC? School gets cancelled, the roads get copiously covered in salt, the sleds get pulled out and the hot chocolate starts boiling. We like to go all out, even when it's just a little layer of frosting.

This morning I met one of my good friends at Whole Foods for smoothies. Torre and I have become closer and closer over the last two years and I'm so happy that she's back home for the time being!
She's crazy talented in photography, textile design, fashion sketching, poetry, writing... you name an "artsy" quality and this girl has it! I've always admired her unique style and creativity. She never seems afraid to be herself, and that's an amazing trait to possess. Today she took some quick blog pictures of me in my super casual ensemble while we enjoyed our food and tried not to freeze.

You can follow her on Instagram, here! She's gonna go far, you guys, I'm sure of it.

Smoothies & Snow

Happy Monday! Can you believe it's already a new week? It feels like ever sense I graduated from college my days and months speed by so quickly it makes my head spin. I'm very ready to move to the next step, wherever that may be. Do you ever feel that way? As of now I'm just hitting some ups and downs, but I know there's a great plan for my life that I'm just currently unaware of!

Anywho, I can't get over this weather! Brrr! It has been so cold and windy. This year I realized that I really needed a new coat. Something warm, something versatile. Not my puffy red coat from high school and something a little warmer than my leather jacket. I wanted to stick to the neutral family and I wanted something that I could wear with a casual ensemble or a fancy get-up!

Thankfully I have a twin sister that knows pretty much exactly what I like when it comes to fashion. She picked out this amazing Urban Outfitters coat (similar one here) for me as a Christmas gift and since I first put it on back in December, I can't get enough. It's so cozy, comfortable, and seriously toasty when it's freezing outside.

This "running errands ensemble" debuted my (also) new UO high-waisted jeans with my go-to beanie and a simple gray sweater, perfectly coated.

What are your plans for the week?
Denim, Urban Outfitters. Top, Ann Taylor Loft. Boots, Forever 21. Coat, Urban Outfitters. Bag, Kate Spade. Watch, Francesca's. Hat, N/A.
