A week or two ago I went to Myrtle Beach with Sean and his family. His grandmother lived in Myrtle while he was a little boy, so he has a ton of great memories tied to that shore. It was such a fun and relaxing trip! We ate at his favorite restauraunts, spent hours soaking up some rays, went on long walks, and stayed up late just talking and enjoying ourselves. I love beach trips!

One thing that I'm so thankful for while I'm living here at home is my church. My pastor is so awesome, I can't even describe how much I enjoy his sermons! He's made my church family come alive over the last year and he's evoked in me a spirit of wanting to get out there and make a difference, not just in my own life, but in the lives of the nearest, neighbors and the nations. If you want to listen to a captivating, funny, heart-warming pastor, that strengthens your faith but doesn't tip-toe around important issues, go over to the Carmel Baptist website! You can watch them on your laptop at home, or on your Kindle at the gym! I promise this isn't meant to be a "commercial" type post, I just really wanted to share it with you all. God is working here in the Queen City, and I love it!

This outfit is a classic look that I wore to church on Sunday, with a little "private school girl" spin to it. Nothing too edgy or boho, but still sweet. Excuse my messy pony-tail and hidden bangs. I just throw my hair up however I can when I have to get out the door quickly... which I usually do on Sunday mornings because I am not a morning person.
Also, I still can't believe I bought this skirt for only 3 dollars from Goodwill. Major steal! I'm probably rocking a piece of someone's old uniform, and I don't hate it... (Also, random 70 degree days make me happy!)

What's your favorite thing to get for Valentine's Day? Are you a chocolate fanatic? Or are you more into flowers and teddy bears? I'm always happy with a fun night out, a delicious meal and good hug. Simplicity is okay with me! As long as we're together and having a good time, I'm very happy! Valentine's Day can be a little gimmicky to me, and I want the ones I love to know I love them regardless of whether it's marked on the calender.

Although, if I could somehow give myself some Valentine's Day gifts sent down from fashion heaven (with the money I don't have...sigh) I would definitely be buying some killer clothes and beauty must-haves. Here are 8 things I'm dreaming of and crushing on for the day of love...

When I was in middle school I used to think that being trendy meant loading on as many patterns and accessories as possible. Boy was I wrong! The older I get the more I realize that it has nothing to do with the amount of things you're wearing, but more to do with how you execute the look you have in mind. You don't need a fedora, over-sized glasses, combat boots, an infinity scarf, plaid, chambray, leather, and an army jacket all in one ensemble! Less is more, in my book! Just remember to K.I.S.S...

Keep It Simple, Stupid.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling all of you stupid! What I'm trying to say is that I think some of the best outfits come out minimal pieces. Why pile on everything you find? Pick a couple items that you know go well together and just go with it! I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.

Also, can I just tell you how excited I am for Starbucks red cup season!? Bring on the peppermint mochas and gingerbread lattes, please! Yum, yum, yum. Stay tuned tomorrow for my 2nd fall treat post!

While I was rocking my thrifted tribal print sweater, my twin sister (and photographer) was also looking stylish! One thing I love about autumn is wearing neutrals. Any combination of muted colors looks fabulous juxtaposed against fall leaves and overcast weather. This simple look combines sandy browns and mossy greens to create an earth-toned ensemble that looks casual, yet on trend!

Although my sister and I look very much alike in many ways, one thing I've always admired about her is her extra fair complexion and amazingly blue eyes. They seem to pop no matter what she's wearing! She also has a beautiful smile that I envy so much! I love her to the moon and I love taking street style shots with her. Here's how she wore her latest fall look...
